An upper caste shopkeeper in Mainpuri hacked a Dalit couple to death with an axe for not repaying him his debt of a just Rs 15. He was demanding the money to buy some intoxicant and an argument over the matter led to the gruesome killing of the couple. the accused has been arrested. The couple died on the spot and police had been deployed in the village as residents were terrorized by the brutal incident.
